I made it!
Didn’t know I’ll beat the 10 am deadline for this newsletter, but I made it!
Last week I learned that taking away from nature meant taking away from yourself.
In order to prepare myself for the next day and have less tasks on my plate, I stay up late to complete a majority of my tasks.
I create designs, schedule posts, work on content or just watch a video on Youtube.
The next day, I wake up really late and tired.
Of course I have more activities to cover.
I do these reluctantly or abandon everything for what you’ll not call “the normal daylight nap”.
With the nap comes another night of work, and that continues.
I did less, but constantly felt overwhelmed because of this single act.
Last night, I almost got drawn in again.
The workload piled high, tempting me to stay up late yet again.
However, this time, I fought back.
I resisted this lure of late-night work, choosing instead to prioritize a good night's sleep for an early and energized start.
Guess who was up before 7?
Me🥰🙅
I managed to finish up some designs, wrapped up Triple C reviews, and had this newsletter scheduled—all before 10 AM. What a morning, right?
Here's the truth:
Rest is an indispensable part of life, and a good night's sleep is an integral aspect of that.
It's no surprise that the age-old saying goes, "early to bed, early to rise."
With proper rest, the energy surge you experience can turbocharge your creative thinking and help you breeze through your tasks effortlessly.
In fact, it can even elevate your performance, making you a standout in meetings and discussions. A good recipe for promotion (don’t tell your boss I shared this).
I know we’ve all been conditioned to live as workaholics.
Posting screenshots of your late night hustle instead of selfies of your well-rested face.
To stay up and do nothing instead of getting caught sleeping.
But, it doesn't have to be that way for you.
It's time to reset your body clock and condition yourself to operate at your best during waking hours.
